| HOLISTIC: Harmonizing Pathways to Wholeness accepts unsolicited articles from authors. We are especially looking for well-written articles about the practice of holistic healing and dis-ease prevention. HOLISTIC encompasses many traditions, including, but definitely not limited to Reiki, Therapeutic Touch™, Healing Touch, SomatoEmotional Release™, Cranial-Sacral therapy, Shamanic Studies, Massage Therapy, Pet Therapy, Music Therapy, Holistic Psychotherapy and others. Our preference is for pieces written by holistic practitioners, and well-researched material is definitely welcome. Please do not be afraid to cite references or research studies that document the effectiveness of the modality. The ideal article will be approximately 1200 to 1800 words and should be sent electronically in Microsoft Word format. We’re very sorry, but we cannot accept handwritten submissions. Please make sure to have two spaces between sentences (so we don't have to fix it)! Photos related to the article should be submitted in .jpg (jpeg) format at 300 dpi, please set your camera at the highest resolution. If the photographs are of people, please make sure to include a permission to publish the picture form signed by the subject(s). Laughter is Healing section, we are looking for humorous stories about holistic therapies or humorous stories with a healing message. These should be 600 to 1200 words in length. Sharing section, we welcome personal stories of how holistic health practices have impacted people’s lives. These should be no more than 600 to 800 words in length. We welcome photos showing changes, but only if confidentiality is not an issue. Children of the Light section, we welcome articles written by authors aged 17 and under. If you are over 17, please submit as above. Articles for this section should be 600 to 1200 words and will be reviewed by both young (and old) editors. We prefer to review completed articles, but will be happy to respond to query letters. We request that you do not send simultaneous submissions and we will provide a response within three weeks. The author retains all rights to the work. On publication of articles, payment is two copies of the magazine.
